Klementyna Tanska Hoffman

Klementyna Tanska Hoffmanowa (1798-1845) was a Polish writer and educator, among the first women in Poland to earn her living by the pen. Born in Warsaw, she wrote widely for young readers and on the moral education of women; The Journal of Countess Francoise Krasinska (1825), an imagined diary of an eighteenth-century Polish noblewoman, is her best-known work and an early example of the historical-diary novel.
