Susan Tiberghien

Susan Tiberghien is an American writer who has long lived in Geneva. She took a degree in literature and philosophy and did graduate work at the Universite de Grenoble and at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich. Her books include the memoirs Looking for Gold: One Year in Jungian Analysis (1997) and Circling to the Center, on silent prayer, together with two books on writing, One Year to a Writing Life (2007) and Writing Toward Wholeness, which draws on Jung. She founded the Geneva Writers' Group in 1993 and directed it for twenty-five years; she is founding editor of its review, Offshoots: Writing from Geneva. She has taught at the International Women's Writing Guild summer conference since 1990 and is a founding member of the writers' residence at the Chateau de Lavigny. She wrote the foreword to Ramuz's Riversong of the Rhone.
